DescriptionCarole Waller is a painter who has been working with fabrics since 1987 – to make large scale wall pieces, painted clothing and scarves. She worked with Beckford Silk on a screen printed scarf project in the 1990s.Her practice uses the energy of the painted gesture and mark in contrast to the stillness and order of a screen printed image – and this print merges a painting with an intaglio print. The grid of images of Etruscan figurines found in a cave in northern Tuscany, stand gently over the English landscape.Carole has exhibited internationally for many years – her work can be found in the Textile Collection at the V&A, and she currently lives just outside Bath.
