DescriptionAnne-Joëlle (“AJ”) Galley is a mixed-media artist whose practice spans abstract painting, collage-paintings and monotypes, often incorporating recycled elements and reworked pieces. Colour – bold, expressive and transformative – anchors her artistic voice, creating continuity across painting, collage and printmaking. Deeply inspired by flowers and landscapes, Galley abstracts nature to evoke joy, hope and peace, inviting viewers into moments of reflection and renewal.Educated in Europe through ateliers and art courses at Sotheby’s and the ICA/Christie’s in London, she later studied printmaking at The Art Students League of New York in the 1990s, earning a 4 year Fine Art Painting Certificate from the institution in 2025. Her work has been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions across the US, Mexico and Europe and is represented on Saatchi Art and by Serrano Gallery.For over a decade Galley has also partnered with Beckford Silk, translating her vibrant designs into luxurious scarves and fabrics, further extending her artistic vision into wearable art.
