Our Custom 49 Strand Cable Shark Leaders are built with 400lb stainless steel, 49 strand cable and feature a precision crimped 4/0 barrel swivel at one end and a 4/0 snap swivel at the other end. These Custom 49 Strand Cable Shark Leaders are hand crimped at our shop, by our pro staff, one leader at a time. These leaders are designed to be used in conjunction with our Single Strand Shark Bite Leaders. When fishing for large sharks, your leader must be longer than the potential catch to reduce break-offs. If the fish “rolls” on your leader, a longer single strand can bend, kink and ultimately break. The 49 strand cable can stand up to the abuse of tough shark skin and resists breakage far better than single strand wire.
