Diamond Products Single Splicing Needles are made of surgical stainless steel and can splice from 30lb to 500lb mono/fluoro into Hollowcore Spectra or Dacron Fishing Lines. These Single Splicing Needles feature a smooth round head to easily thread into any hollow type fishing line for the most secure connections. These needles are hollow on one end to accept monofilament or fluorocarbon leader/topshot. Simply heat the needle with a lighter and insert your leader, the heat will secure it to the inside of the needle. The Loop and Latch Needles are used to make loops for loop-to-loop connections for wind-on leaders and hollow to hollow line splice connections. Pro Tip: Cut your leader at an angle with a sharp blade to fit into the smallest possible needle to make the job easier
