The VI consists of a large stainless steel gear train for strength and speed, and a Dura-Drag system which results in a smoother start up and virtually eliminates hesitation, even under extreme drag settings. Penn International 16VIS – This little reel excels at seeking light tackle records. Rock solid construction, coupled with a smooth drag system ensure you won’t be disappointed. The 16VIS is best suited for fishing lighter lines. Penn International 70VIS – The Penn 70VIS is a unique sized reel that many anglers were seeking. Beefier than a 50, but smaller and lighter than an 80 class reel; the Penn 70VIS is the perfect match up for tackling big fish with heavy standup tackle.
