Constructed with Okuma’s Alumilite body, side plate, and Cyclonic Flow Rotor construction for the ultimate in strength. With an IPX-7 full-body waterproof design, Tesoro Spinning reels are packed and sealed with features and protection. Featuring 12-HPB 1-RB corrosion resistant stainless-steel bearings, coupled with an oversized brass main gear and a dual-bearing supported C-6191 brass pinion gear drive system. The raw stopping power comes from Tesoro’s Carbonite, high-output DFD drag system with Cal’s drag grease that puts out up to 55-pounds of pure fish stopping drag! This enormous drag pressure is handled by a custom frictionless titanium spool shaft that reduces flex and weight, providing smooth operation day in and day out. A redundant dual anti-reverse system provides maximum strength and reliability. Tesoro Spinning reels have a rigid machined aluminum screw-in handle design provides direct feedback when turning the handle and locks solidly into place. All Tesoro models have an interchangeable screw-in handle system that can be changed from left to right-hand retrieve. A rotor brake system works in conjunction with the Tesoro’s manual bail trip design.
